How to Set Up Category Guidelines for Walmart Marketplace

If this is your first time publishing products to a Walmart channel in Jazva, you will have to set up guidelines for them to ensure that the information you enter meets the requirements of Walmart Marketplace or one of its categories.

For instance, selling books may require ISBNs, while shoes may require setting up sizes and colors as bullet points. To learn more about guidelines, please visit how to set up Category Guidelines.

For Walmart Marketplace, some guidelines have already been created in Jazva’s database. They must simply be activated in order for them to be available.

To activate these guidelines, please follow these steps:

1. Create a publishing category for the Walmart Marketplace channel. To learn more about this process, please visit Advanced Category Settings.
2. Once you’ve created the category, navigate to the main menu and select Setup > Guidelines.
3. Click the drop-down button next to New Guideline and select Create Standard Guideline.

The pre-created guidelines will now be listed in the Guidelines list and will be applied to products that have the Walmart category.
