Overview
Jazva allows you to manage your listings easily and efficiently across multiple sales channels, all from one place.
At the granular level, listing titles and descriptions can be edited from the product or item setup page. If you want to use templates, you can use listing profiles and apply them to your products.
Listing profiles allow you to define the appearance of your listings, which include the title, description and images. Listing profiles can be set at the category level and channel level.
Each sales channel has its own rules and limitations. Depending on the channel, you can have specific titles and descriptions for the main product or the item variation. Some channels will have more options than others.
Refer to this table for a quick reference of available options:
Amazon | eBay | Woo Commerce | Volusion | Shopify | Magento | Big Commerce | Jet | Walmart
Product Description | + | + | + | + | +
Item Description | + | + | + | + | + | + | +

Item Title | + | + | + | + | + | + | |||

*Currently, only Amazon and WooCommerce support HTML, and they can only be applied in descriptions, not titles.
Title and Description Hierarchy
Jazva allows for flexibility and control over your listings. Given all of the options Jazva provides, it’s important to understand how Jazva chooses which title and description will be used on your channels.
Here is a quick overview of the listing hierarchy:
- The product or item’s Channel-Specific Title (accessed from the product > Sales Channels)
- Listing Profiles
- Category-level Listing Profile (accessed from category > Channel-Specific Setup)
- Channel Default Listing Profile (accessed from the channel > Listing Profiles)
- The title and descriptions on the product or item’s Setup page.
If all levels have content, #1 will always be used for the title, and #2.a will be applied for descriptions.
Please note that these levels are optional. Use the approach that best suits the level of granularity of your multi-channel business. Each level is discussed in depth below.
Using Shortcodes
There are a number of shortcodes available that can be applied on hierarchies 1 and 2. You may need some programming knowledge to use these shortcodes. Contact Jazva support for assistance.
- ${channel} - shortcode for channel
- ${item} - shortcode for item
- ${product} - shortcode for product
- ${listingProfile} - shortcode for listing profile
- ${IMAGE_PR_PATH} - File system path for image
- ${IMAGE_PR_URL} - URL path for channel specific image
- ${descriptions.getDescription(’[Type]')}
- [Type] allows you to pull different kinds of descriptions. For example: `${descriptions.getDescription('short')}` will pull the short description of the current item or product.
- The description type could be set up in your Jazva lookup list - productDescription
Setting Default Titles and Descriptions from Product Setup (Priority 3)
The simplest and easiest way to set titles and descriptions is from the individual product’s Setup page. This is useful for setting up the default content at the lowest level.
- Open an existing product.
- Click the Setup tab.
- Update the Title, Main Description and Short Description if applicable.
- To set up Item titles and descriptions, click the Show Item Descriptions checkbox, and update the information as needed.
HTML tags can also be used on titles and descriptions, but only Amazon and WooCommerce currently support HTML. Click switch to Rich Text Editor for convenience.
Channel-Default Listing Profiles (Priority 2.B)
Channel-default listing profiles take advantage of templates and shortcodes to help you define the appearance of your listings. A listing profile can include images, graphic styles, selling terms and conditions, depending on the sales channel.
For marketplace-specific listing profiles, you can jump to the following articles:
- Creating an eBay Listing Profile
- Creating an eBay Auctions Listing Profile
- Creating a Walmart Listing Profile
For all other channels, you can follow this guide to set up your default channel listing profiles:
- From the main menu, go to Setup and select Channels.
- From the Marketplace section, select a sales channel.
- Toggle to the Listing Profiles tab.
- Click +Add Listing Profile and name the listing profile.
- Set up the Title and Description Templates as needed.
- Click Save to finish.
Shortcodes can be used on the Title Template and Description Template. By default, the description template will have `{jz:safe(descriptions.getDescription('main'))}`, which means it will use the default main description from the product’s Setup page (priority 3).
Category-Level Listing Profiles (Priority 2.A)
For each category, you can apply a channel-specific setup and use a specific listing profile for each channel. If such a category is added to a product, then it will be prioritized before the Channel-Specific Title.
- Open a category assigned to the product.
- Scroll down to Channel-Specific Setup, click +Add and select an applicable channel.
- Select a Listing Profile.
- Click Save to finish.
In the example above, this category has a Channel-Specific Setup with eBay and is connected to the “Listing Default” profile.
Channel-Specific Titles (Priority 1)
At the highest level, you can set up a unique Channel-Specific Product Title and a Channel Specific Item Title for each product. This is completely optional as you can leave them as default; otherwise, they will override the titles in your listing profiles and product default setup.
- Open an existing product.
- Scroll down to Sales Channels and click on a channel.
- From the channel mapping window, enter a Channel-Specific Product Title or Channel-Specific Item Title.
