Overview

eBay Motors is a great place to buy and sell auto performance parts and accessories. eBay helps products be more accessible through parts compatibility listings, a tool that lets sellers show all compatible vehicles for a part in a single listing.

With parts compatibility and fitment tables, you can save time and money by reducing the number of listings you’ll have to manage. This will also boost your search results and listing performance score, since customers will be able to find your parts and accessories more easily.

Jazva lets you create and edit listing data for Motors listings, and allows you to set up parts compatibility quickly and efficiently through a number of bulk listing and editing tools. Fitment data can easily be imported and exported, and fitment profiles and model information can be saved for future use.

Setting Up Compatibility Using Categories

Parts compatibility can be set up in Jazva using product categories and entering vehicles into fitment tables.

  1. Create or open an existing category in Jazva.
  2. Click the drop-down next to Products and select Add Auto Parts Compatibility.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the recently added Auto Parts Compatibility section.
  4. From the Picker tab, select a Vehicle Type, either Automobiles or Motorcycles.
  5. Configure the following options to add compatible vehicles to this category:
    • Make
    • Model
    • Year
    • Trim/Submodel
    • Engine
  6. Click Add to Compatibility Table, and the vehicles that fit the criteria will be added to the fitment table. Continue adding vehicles as needed.
  7. Click Save to finish.

Car compatibility can be as simple as Year/Make/Model or as expansive as Year/Make/Model/Trim/Submodel/Engine. The Expand button lets you take a Year/Make/Model and split it into individual Trims/Submodels/Engines so you can be more specific, and Collapse does the opposite. To use expand or collapse the vehicles, you will need to mark the checkboxes that you want to expand or collapse and click the appropriate button.

Once you have set up a category with fitment data, you can assign it to your products. Products assigned with parts compatibility categories will be linked to eBay's compatibility database when published.
