Overview
Selling on Jet is a great way to expand your online presence and reach more customers. But before you can sell on Jet.com, you’ll first need to sign up and apply for a Jet Retail Partner account. There are two types of accounts: Test (non-live) and Live.
When you first create a Jet account, it starts out as a test account. There are a number of steps required before can be set live.
Obtaining Your Jet.com API Keys
You can obtain your API keys once you have a Jet seller account. Follow these steps to obtain your API keys:
- Go to https://partner.jet.com
- Sign in using an account that has API access. An admin, manager or developer account will do.
- You can toggle between Test and Live modes from the bottom of the screen. Start off in Test mode if this is your first time setting up a Jet channel on Jazva.
- From the left navigation, click API.
- Click Get API Keys.
Your API keys will be displayed. Please take note of the API user and Secret keys, to be used when setting up your channel in Jazva.
First Time Jet Merchants: Creating a Jet Channel with a Test Account
Prerequisites
If this is the first time you’re selling on Jet.com, Jet will require you to run a few tests using a 3rd party application (such as Jazva). The test involves publishing products and importing an order.
For the testing process, you’ll need to find a product to publish on Jet.com.
Requirements:
- The product must be Active.
- The product must have an MSRP (at least minimum 0.01).
- The product must have a Verified UPC.
- The product must have an inventory count of at least 1.
- The product must have a weight of at least 0.01 lbs.
- The product must have a description that is less than 2000 characters.
- The product must have no more than 8 images.
Setting Up the Channel on Jazva
1. From the main menu, go to Setup and select Channels.
2. From the Marketplace section, click the + icon and select Jet.
3. Complete the required fields and options in the New Jet Channel wizard:
- Channel Name – give the channel a name.
- Channel Code – give the channel a code.
- Parent Web Channel – sets a channel to be the basis of default settings of the Jet channel.
4. Enter the Return Address for the channel, and click Next.
5. Enter the Test API User and API Secret of your Jet account.
6. Click Create Channel.
7. Complete the following options in the channel’s Setup page.
- Sandbox – sets the channel on sandbox mode. You must uncheck this box to set the channel live.
- Import Orders - enable “Import All Orders” to allow Jet orders to import into Jazva.
8. Click the Profile tab and complete or update the pertinent contact and shipping information.
9. Select eligible Shipping Carriers for the channel. It is recommended to check All Carriers, so that Jazva can automatically select the least expensive shipping method and carrier from all your set options.
10. Click Save and return to the channel’s Setup tab.
11. Click Activate to finish setup.
Publishing the Test Product on Jet
1. First, you’ll need to create a category specific to Jet.com. From the main menu, go to Products and select Categories. Add a new category.
2. Scroll down to Published to Channels, and click +Add. You will use this category to publish and map the product on your newly created Jet channel.
3. Add the category to the product and save.
4. From the main menu, navigate back to Setup > Channels.
5. From the Actions drop-down, select Update Activations.
6. Publish the product to the Jet channel via the basket.
Performing a Test Order Import
Once the product is successfully pushed, you are ready to start the order import test.
1. Go to https://partner.jet.com.
2. Sign in using an account that has API access. An admin, manager or developer account will do.
3. Navigate to API and click Order Generator.
4. Complete the following fields:
- Number of Orders to Generate - enter a quantity of 1.
- Fulfillment Node - select your newly created Jet channel.

SKU - enter the remote ID of your test product.

Order Quantity - enter a quantity of 1.
5. Click Generate Test Orders.
6. Return to Jazva, open your Jet channel and from the Channel Actions dropdown list, select Run Periodic.
This will generate a test order from Jet.com, which Jazva will then import. The process will take approximately 10 minutes. Once complete, you must ship the order.
- From the main menu, navigate to Orders > View Orders and select Pending.
- Open your newly created Jet order.
- Print the picklist and manually ship the order by inputting a dummy tracking number and clicking on Update and Done.
Once this order is Shipped, you will need to wait for the order status in Jet to change to Complete.
Performing a Test Return
The next step is to create another order for cancellation using the Order Generator.
- Log into https://partner.jet.com
- Navigate to API and click Order Generator.
- Complete the following fields:
- Number of Orders to Generate - enter a quantity of 1.
- Fulfillment Node - select your newly created Jet channel.
- SKU - enter the remote ID of your test product.
- Order Quantity - enter a quantity of 1.
- Cancel Quantity - enter a quantity of 1.
4. Click Generate Test Orders.
5. Return to Jazva, open your Jet channel and from the Channel Actions dropdown list, select Run Periodic.
You will then need to cancel this order and create a return using the Return Generator.
1. Log into https://partner.jet.com.
2. Navigate to API and click Return Generator.
3. Select the existing order that you created for cancellation, and click Send Return Notification.
4. Return to Jazva, open the Jet channel, and from the Channel Actions dropdown list, select Run Periodic.
5. Process the return in Jazva using the standard RMA process.
Switching from Test to Live
Once you complete the required tests, you are finally ready to set your account live and activate it accordingly in Jazva.
1. Log into https://partner.jet.com
2. Toggle to Live Mode.
3. Click Get API Keys to obtain your live API keys.
4. Return to Jazva and open your Jet channel.
5. Click the Setup tab.
6. Update the following fields:
- API User – enter the live Jet.com API username, replacing the test key.
- API Secret – enter the live Jet.com API secret, replacing the test key.
7. Return to Jazva and publish your Jet items to your Jet channel via the basket one more time.
8. On Jet.com, click API, which will display a slider at the bottom of the page that sets the account as Live or Test. Switch the option to Live.
Congratulations! Your Jet channel is now active.
Experienced Jet Merchants: Creating a Jet Channel on Jazva with a Live Jet.com Account
If you’ve already sold on Jet.com in the past, you can easily set up your live account on Jazva.
1. From the main menu, go to Setup and select Channels.
2. From the Marketplace section, click the + icon and select Jet from the list of channels.
3. Complete the required fields and options in the New Jet Channel wizard:
- Channel Name – the channel name
- Channel Code – the channel code
- Parent Web Channel – sets a channel to be the basis of default settings of the Jet channel.
4. Enter the Return Address for the channel.
5. Enter the live API User and API Secret of the Jet account.
6. Click Create Channel.
Configuring Your Jet Channel Settings
Jazva offers a wide range of options you can update to finetune your channel. You can configure any of these settings from the channel’s Setup tab. Many of these settings are optional, but we recommend you review every single option available.
1. Complete the following options and settings:
- Channel Name – give a name for the channel.
- Channel Code – give the channel a code and color for your reference.
- Parent Web Channel – sets a channel to be the basis of default settings of the Jet channel.
- Import Orders - set how Jazva should retrieve orders from Jet.
- Process Orders From - set a date from which orders should be imported.
- Last Order Sync Date - Jazva will pull order data from all orders from after this date.
- Maximum Inventory – sets a maximum monetary amount of inventory to be published to the channel per SKU. For example, the limit is set at $3,000 and a SKU that is sold for $40 has an inventory on hand of 220pcs. Jazva will only publish 75 pieces to the channel (75 x $40 = $3,000).
- Maximum Inventory Count – sets a maximum unit amount of inventory to be published to the channel.
- Import Customers with Orders - sets that new CRM contacts will be created along with your orders
- Channel Merging Priority - this setting applies only when merging products from two or more channels. Enter a number to define the priority of this channel when merging products. The higher the number, the higher the chance that products from this channel will be selected as the main product when merging.
- Import Listings - sets that all products and orders from the channel and its frequency.
- Publish Listings - Select how you would like Jazva to publish and update your listings. This option will not affect inventory updates.
- API User – the live Jet.com API username.
- API Secret – the live Jet.com API secret.
- Max Order Handling Time – sets a handling time.
- Re-import All Active Listings – this setting will import all listings from the channel.
- Image Option - sets specific image dimensions on images for this channel.
- Enable Email Communications for This Channel – Activating this setting will allow emails to be sent out from this channel.
- Base Category – sets the root category for importing products and mapping other categories.
- Jazva Billing Code – billing code for internal use
- Sandbox – sets the channel on sandbox mode. You must uncheck this box to set the channel live.
- Channel Owner – sets a designated owner of the channel.
2. Click Update to save.
3. Click the Profile tab and complete or update the pertinent contact and shipping information. Select eligible Shipping Carriers for the channel. It is recommended to check All Carriers, so that Jazva can recommend the least expensive shipping method and carrier from all your set options.
4. Click Save and return to the channel’s Setup tab.
5. Click Activate and the channel will be live.
